<처마의 사계>는 사운드 컬쳐 브랜드 ‘사운드울프'(@soundwolf_official) 에서 2022년 주최한 사운드전시 <Sound Garden>(소리 정원)의 오디오 설치 전시물 ‘소리식물’ #7의 앰비언트 음악이다. <Sound Gareden>(소리 정원)은 서울 내 다양한 공간의 정체성과 사운드스케이프의 관계성에 주목한 사운드 인스톨레이션 전시이다. 서울의 다양한 공간의 특성을 기반으로 발견된 식물을 2차 가공하여 소리를 섭취하고 음악을 뱉어내는 식물을 통칭하는 ‘소리 식물'을 창제작하였다. 소리 식물 #7에 활용된 음원 <처마의 사계>는 서울 북촌과 서촌의 '처마' 공간을 모티브로 실제 수집된 사운드스케이프, 노이즈, 앰비언트를 기반으로 창작하여 봄, 여름, 가을, 겨울, 사계의 향수와 공간을 소리를 매개로 청감할 수 있는 감각적인 시간을 건넨다.

'Sound Garden: The four seasons of the eaves' is an ambient music piece featured in the "Sound Plant" #7, an audio installation exhibition within the larger sound exhibition called ‘Sound Garden’ hosted by the sound culture brand Soundwolf (@soundwolf_official) in 2022. ‘Sound Garden’ is a sound installation exhibition that explores the relationship between the identity of various spaces in Seoul and their respective soundscapes. Drawing inspiration from the unique characteristics of different spaces in Seoul, the exhibition incorporates specially crafted "Sound Plants." These plants, created through secondary processing, are capable of ingesting sound and producing music. 'The Four Seasons of the Eaves,' utilized as the sound source for "Sound Plant" #7, was composed based on soundscapes, ambient noises, and real-life recordings collected from 'Eaves' spaces in Bukchon and Seochon, Seoul. The piece evokes a nostalgic and spatial experience through its captivating sounds.

박소현은 서울을 기반으로 활동하는 사운드아티스트, 작곡가, 창업가이다. 개인의 기억과 사유 너머의 제 3의 공간, 텍스트와 소리와의 관계를 기반으로 창조한 음악적 환상성, 소리의 공간적 특수성을 드러내는 사운드스케이프, 노이즈 같은 리얼리즘적 사운드와 이면의 상상의 소리 공간의 경계를 탐구하고 창작한다. 현재 사운드아트와 르포르타주(reportage)를 결합한 '사운드-르포'(sound-reportage) 장르 개발을 주요 연구 주제로 삼고 소리 생태에 관해 오디오 비주얼 장르를 활용한 창작과 실험을 진행하고 있다. 2022년 소리를 매개로 공간의 숨은 판타지를 표현하는 사운드컬쳐 브랜드 ‘사운드울프(soundwolf)’를 창업하였다. 이밖에 연극, 뮤지컬, 공연, 영상, 전시 등 극음악 작곡과 공연 기획, 음악학술 뉴스레터 'C#레터' 편집자 등 다방면으로 활동하고 있다.

Sohyeon Park is a sound artist, composer, and entrepreneur based in Seoul. She explores and creates a third space that goes beyond individual memories and thoughts. Her work delves into the realm of musical fantasy, drawing on the relationship between text and sound, soundscapes that reveal the spatial specificity of sound, and the boundaries between realist sounds like noise and imaginary sound spaces. She is currently engaged in creative endeavors and experiments within the audiovisual genre, focusing on the ecology of sound. Her primary research topic involves the development of the 'sound-reportage' genre, which combines sound art and reportage. In 2022, Sohyeon Park established 'soundwolf', a sound culture brand that seeks to express the hidden fantasies of space through sound. Additionally, she is actively involved in various fields such as composing dramatic music for plays, musicals, performances, videos, and exhibitions. She also plans performances and serves as the editor of the music academic newsletter 'C# Letter'.
